Jennifer D. Walsh, M.A.

Psychotherapist
Jennifer Walsh holds a Masters degree in Psychotherapy and Clinical Hypnotherapy, and has been a psychotherapist in private practice for 10 years. She is the co-founder and director of the Milton H. Erickson Institute in Toronto and was the group facilitator and workshop presenter at Sheena's Place, an eating disorder facility in Toronto.

Ms. Walsh also runs groups for people who struggle with eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia, overeating, binge habits and emotional eating. In those groups, she creates an empathetic, accepting environment in which patients feel safe talking about their struggles with food. In a clinic setting, she has worked closely with clients to help them control habits, make healthy lifestyle changes and improve confidence and self-esteem.

Dr. Fabrizio Di Stefano, DAc, D.C.

Doctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Di Stefano majored in Kinesiology and Health Sciences at York University, and then went on to complete a degree at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC). He is currently in the process of completing a fellowship in advanced rehabilitation.

As part of his commitment to the field of healthcare and fitness, Dr. Di Stefano has conducted a number of seminars on ergonomics, physical fitness, chiropractic healthcare, obesity, bulimia and anorexia. He has also made several appearances on TVO to discuss health issues.

Jill Hillhouse, B.A., B.P.H.E., C.N.P., R.N.C.P.

Nutritionist
Jill Hillhouse holds a Bachelor of Physical and Health Education from Queen’s University, and a Registered Nutritional Consulting Practitioner designation from the Institute of Holistic Nutrition. She is registered with the International Organization of Nutritional Consultants and is certified by the Hans Selye Foundation and the Canadian Institute of Stress as a Stress and Wellness Consultant.

Ms. Hillhouse understands that every person is metabolically distinct, and believes that every patient should be treated with respect and compassion. Her success is built on her ability to apply her understanding of every patient’s unique nutritional needs to helping them manage chronic ailments and prevent disease through nutrition.

Nisrine Shammas B.S.

Director of Patient Services
Nisrine Shammas’ background in laparoscopic band patient care started with personal experience; in 2001, she was one of the first patients in Canada to have the procedure. After her surgery, she lost 150 lbs – and continues to maintain her healthy weight and active lifestyle today. Her story has been featured in magazines, and she has made a number of media appearances to talk about her experiences.

As a result of her own success, Nisrine has made it her career to help other people achieve their goal of losing weight through caring patient support and guidance. As CIBO Clinic’s Director of Patient Services, she oversees the development of patient programs and integrates our various disciplines to suit individual patient needs.

Joanne Tassoulis

Patient Care Coordinator
Joanne Tassoulis has extensive background in client services, as well as some personal experience with weight loss surgery; she recently had a family member undergo the gastric banding procedure. When she saw the benefits of the surgery on someone close to her, she decided to help other people lose weight and live healthier lives.

Joanne is energetic, compassionate and very positive about people’s ability to change. At CIBO Clinic, she is involved in patient consultation and support. In her role as patient care coordinator, she makes sure patients stay on track, and coordinates meetings with other members of the CIBO Clinic professional support team.
